One of the topics of discussion in a conversation that I had with a group of my peers as if hip-hop is dead or not.

I’ve mentioned this on my podcast before, but my standpoint on the livelihood of Hip Hop is that it is alive and flourishing.

Hip hop, as a genre, is now statistically the most popular genre of music in the world. Not only that, but its influence is reaching farther than a lot of people would believe or let on.

In my experience, the people who say that hip-hop is dead are normally referring to lean induced SoundCloud rappers, Mumble rappers, or water down radio hits the currently get a lot of attention.

That argument is dated and lazy for the simple fact that technology has made it easier for us to find Quality Music and quality Hip Hop.

With sites like Ambrosia for heads, teambackpack. Net, Cypher circuit, and a few others, it’s clear that hip hop is alive and well. Most people just don’t know where to look to find the type of hip-hop that they’re into.

If you’re looking for some dope hip hop, I recommend you follow these outlets and turn on their notifications. You will quickly see that hip hop is alive, well, and flourishing.
